UD Lanzarote 0 Club Atlético Granadilla 1

UD  Lanzarote 0  Club Atlético Granadilla 1

10th November 2013

A narrow victory saw the League leaders Atlético Granadilla take all three points from this weekend’s home game.  Both teams started the game at pace looking for goals. The reward came for the visitors on 19 minutes with a pass to Javi Marchena who put the ball into the net. This ended UD Lanzarote’s 469 minutes clean sheet record of goals conceded at home.

On 26 minutes a claim for a penalty on Camacho was not given by the referee. Play continued in much the same vain and we were soon to the conclusion of the first 45 minutes with the score remaining at 0-1.

During the second half, both teams had several chances on goal, the best coming for UD Lanzarote from a centre ball from Adrian, headed by Kennedy seeking Rosmen who narrowly missed the back of the net. A few minutes later Yaco placed a ball back inside the area for his brother Rosmen to connect with a header. Sadly for all the home fans we saw it just tip over the bar.

With the final minutes drawing in, one final push from the home side looking for the equalizer. A ball from Jotha found Yaco with the shot being partially blocked by the goalkeeper David. With the goalkeeper beat, this just left Ryan to head the ball into the back of the net. Luck again was not on our side with the ball hitting the post.

The game finished 0-1 leaving Club Atlético Granadilla back on Top with 27 points and UD Lanzarote at 11th position on 17 points.
