SD TENISCA 4 LANZAROTE 2

22nd March 2013

SD TENISCA   4   LANZAROTE   2

Nine men Lanzarote go down fighting but it is now 15 goals conceded in their last four games with three defeats on the bounce.

The rearranged match was quite evenly balanced for the opening half hour but that all changed in the 31st minute when Roberto Cabrera picked up his second yellow card and Lanzarote were reduced to 10 men.

Despite being a man short the Rojillos were unlucky not to go in front just before the break when Juancar´s headed effort came crashing back off the upright.

Ten minutes into the second half and Fran Gil tripped striker Memo and being the last defender was shown an automatic red card so Lanzarote were left with just nine men on the field of play.

In the 65th minute the La Palma side got their inevitable goal when Memo put his side 1-0 up. The nine Lanzarote heads did not drop and incredibly were level seven minutes later when Camacho fired home following a free kick from Marcos Cabrera.

Surprisingly Lanzarote were taking the game to a nervous Tenisca defence but with the Rojillos with only three men at the back the home side eventually regained the lead in the 80th minute through youngster Juan Pablo.

Three minutes from time and sub Diego gave his side some breathing space by extending his sides lead to 3-1. Only a minute later and the exciting Ryan Macphee reduced the deficit to 3-2 and gave his side a sniff of a chance of stealing a point.

Deep into stoppage time and Juan Pablo secured the three points with his second goal of the match and complete the scoring at 4-2 in favour of the hosts.

Lanzarote drop one place to 16th spot but Adolfo Pérez´s men will be looking for all three points this Sunday when they host CD San Isidro who are just one position lower than the Rojillos. The game has been confirmed as a 12 noon kick off.
