MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ALL AT U.D. LANZAROTE,    22nd December 2016,

The Rojillos arrive at the Christmas break and will go into 2017 in ninth position in the league table trailing a playoff finish by seven points.

The form has not been great though the Rojillos have only lost three games and won their match prior to the Christmas break 0-3 away. It will be an effort to claw back seven points to win a top four position but if Lanzarote manage it they will go challenging for a Segunda B (League 1)place in top form.

Many thanks to Rachel from Café De La Plaza in Puerto Calero where we went and enjoyed our Christmas celebration. There were no drunken antics as we went for High Tea for six. It was perfect and the quality of food spectacular.

The Puerto Del Carmen market in the Old Town will be open every Friday between 9.30am to 2pm during the holiday period and UD Lanzarote football shirts and merchandise will all be available from the club stall.

Christmas Day this year falls on a Sunday and the UD Lanzarote market stall in Teguise will not be open on the 25th December however I will be up there probably a little worse for wear on New Year’s Day from 10am to 2.30pm. I looked for helpers and my daughter Jessica and Brad began a conversation between them as I was asking and completely ignored my question so I guess I will be on my own.

Wherever you are from I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful and happy New Year.

Ian.
