Lanzarote midfielder Borja who on his day is a wonderful player to watch and in those early stages of the match you could feel the wee man was up for it. In the 14th minute the little wizard weaved a pass to striker Quintero who had made a diagonal run and the clubs top scorer this season took one touch to take the ball beyond and also left the keeper committed to a foul taking away his left foot.

Inevitably the Ref pointed to the spot and Quintero sent the keeper the wrong way planting his shot low to the keepers left to give his side a 1-0 lead.

In the 24th minute a flick on by Rosmen found Quintero but off balance he did well to get a strike on goal though the keeper saved with ease.

The 13th placed side gradually began to get into the match and in the closing minutes of the first half they will feel hard done by not to be on level terms seeing the ball rebound off the crossbar twice in two minutes.

The first effort in 42nd minute was a deflected powerful strike from the edge of the box which keeper Agoney pulled off a brilliant reaction save by getting a finger on the ball to guide it onto the woodwork. The next effort was by danger man Kilian who struck from ten yards but his effort rocketed off the underside of the bar and away to safety.

Five minutes into the second half and Quintero had a great chance to double the score but his free header from eight yards floated tamelesley over the bar.

On the hour mark Borja again teased the defenders with a terrific run down the left wing to the by-line though his pass was intercepted just before Rosmen could smash it home.

Only a minute later and again wonderful work by the obvious man of the match Borja saw him pull back a ball gifting striker Quintero to blast home from eight yards to give Lanzarote a 2-0 lead.

In the 66th minute who else but Borja beat a couple of defenders and floated in an excellent cross from the left stretching the Gran Canarian defence. Ayoze Pérez on the far post took a touch then blasted the ball into the top right hand corner give Lanzarote a comfortable 3-0 lead.

In the final minute the Rojillo defence was caught napping which allowed defender Marrero to chip the stranded Lanzarote keeper to earn his side a consolation goal.

The Rojillos move back up to sixth spot and will be playing at home again this Sunday to league leaders Las Palmas B. The runaway league leaders have just dropped two points out of a possible 48 points. Kick off has been confirmed for this Sunday 5th March at 12 noon.
