ALL SET WITH PACKED BUS FOR FUERTEVENTURS TRIP ON SUNDAY 15th SEPTEMBER

ALL SET WITH PACKED BUS FOR FUERTEVENTURS TRIP ON SUNDAY 15th SEPTEMBER

We have 54 people booked on the 55 seater bus heading to Fuerteventura to watch the Rojillos play CF Unión Puerto. Many others are travelling by car so it does look as though we will have a good turnout.

The bus will depart Arrecife stadium at 07.45 and head directly to the bus stop at Biosfera shopping centre in Puerto Del Carmen arriving around 8am. We will all then head down to Playa Blanca where we will have another 14 people joining us before boarding the 9am ferry. BRING YOUR PASSPORT!

On arriving in Corralejo we will immediately board the bus for the half hour journey to their stadium Municipal de los Pozos in Puerto Del Rosario. We always arrive with time to spare and there are a couple of bars just ten minutes walk from the stadium.

After the match everyone who was on the bus can meet at their club bar where you will receive a bocadillo (roll) and refreshment. We will then hop back on the bus and return to the ferry, sailing at 4pm.

As ever we will be having the popular raffle with over 25 prizes including signed shirts, High tea for two at Café de la Plaza in Puerto Calero, two outdoor cinema tickets at the fabulous Rooftops cinema in Biosfera and many many more prizes. Jane Hayden and hopefully Julie Buck will be hunting you down on the ferry to purchase the tickets for 2 Euros for one ticket or the line of 5 tickets for 5 Euros (you will never have a better chance of winning a prize). Please support generously as all proceeds will go to the club and the draw on the return ferry is always a good laugh.

It looks as though it will be hot so please drink lots of water in between any beers, the stadium has a shaded stand but do remember to sunscreen up and it’s always a good idea to wear a hat. Someone always forgets their PASSPORT, will it be you?

Lanzarote will be without winger Miguel Gómez (ankle injury, 3 weeks approx) and defender Josito (1 game suspension) as well as Kevin Cabrera. Kevin sustained what has proven to be an awful ligament injury and just three games into the season with his new club it looks as though he will be sidelined for six months. I am sure on behalf of all you fans we wish Kevin a speedy and successful recovery.

The club and striker Victor Castro have decided mutually to end his contract and the 19 year old will return to Las Palmas looking for more regular football. Once again we wish Victor all the very best.
