IAN LANE, U.D. LANZAROTE´S NEW SIGNING. 28th December 2016.

Rojillos manager Adolfo Pérez has made the shock signing of the season. 49 year old Ian Lane who is free to sign as his last contract was 1988/89 season will be joining the club first week in January.

Ian couldn't be happier about his new offer.

Adolfo says “This is a no brainer, Ian has so much experience that he can share with the younger members of the squad. Unfortunately we will have to work on his weight as he at the moment weighs in at 108 kilos (17 stones) which is about 30 kilos over (5 stone).

Adolfo also says the weight is not the only problem; Ian has a suspect left knee and an absolutely destroyed right knee and is on the waiting list for a replacement.

Nevertheless Adolfo is adamant that Ian will become the clubs third British player, he also states that he knows Ian can’t run, dribble, pass or tackle but he still has the ability to down a pint in one and this sort of attitude will rub off on his team mates and is worth a goal a game.
