GOODBYE JESSICA

GOODBYE JESSICA

I just want to say a huge thank you to my daughter Jessica who will no longer be with me week in week out at the market in Teguise or being the photographer at our home games.

Jessica is leaving the island today to go to La Laguna University in Tenerife to study languages for the next four years. Jessica began working with me up the market several years ago and at first no customers would talk to her as she looked so young. Four years later and she has become a complete professional.

Jessica, Ian and Oscar many years ago.

I always used to have problems getting photos from the matches but over the last few years Jessica has produced some brilliant photos which have been appreciated by not just the fans but also the players and the club.

Often you hear about young people not having the attitude for work but this is the complete opposite of Jessica. I couldn’t have dreamt how good her work ethic is and now at 19 years of age she will be sorely missed. I am sure during the holidays that Jessica will make an appearance especially as she likes to earn a few bob.

Who needs an X-BOX when you have a cardboard box.

Taking over from Jessica will be my son Oscar. Whilst he is not as outgoing as Jessica he does have many other great attributes and seeing his older sister work over the years has already rubbed off on him.

Me with my new right hand man Oscar.

If you see Oscar at the games and want a photo at the match please ask him as it will get posted on our Facebook page and is a great memento.

Loads of love and Bon Voyage Jessica.
