COME AND SUPPORT U.D LANZAROTE UNDER 18’S IN THE FINAL STAGES OF THE PLAYOFFS.

This Sunday 23rd April at 12 noon the Lanzarote under 18’s will play their first match against local rivals San Bartolomé in a home and away tie for a chance to qualify into the playoff stages to play in the Honor Division, the highest category played in junior level within the Canary Islands and Spain.

The return match will be at the San Bartolomé stadium on the 6th May.

The playoffs are not an easy task, if Lanzarote beat local rivals San Bartolomé over the two legs they will then qualify into a second home and away tie against a Fuerteventura side who will also be fighting for the same prize.

After having played two ties home and away, if Lanzarote come out victorious they will also have to play a final playoff match against the top team from Gran Canaria.

Winning all three ties will give them the opportunity to play at the highest standard of football in their age group here in the Canary Islands.

Finishing first or second in the Honor Division, gives you the chance to play Copa Del Rey (F.A Cup football) the following season. Progress to this and Lanzarote juniors would play against teams that have also finished in the top two in their league throughout the whole of Spain, such as Real Madrid under 18’s, Barcelona under 18’s, etc…

The players would love your support, beer and refreshments are available as normal.
